Ratton Revisits Transport Corridor Consultation

With plans for a new cycle route to be put in place, linking Eastbourne and Hailsham, those living in Ratton, say they aren't happy with the plans.
The Hailsham, Polegate and Eastbourne Transport Corridor as it's being called, would see grass verges removed along the main road to make room for the cycle path and according to the County Council, improve bus journey times.
However, despite there being a public consultation into the matter last year, many felt they didn't know about the proposals, prompting the Ratton Neighbourhood Panel to call their own meeting into the matter.
